Skyline Prep High School Athletic Program

Skyline Prep’s high school athletic program is among the best in the state. Our coaching staff consists of highly qualified professionals who provide the best opportunities for every student-athlete. The purpose of our high school sports programs is providing an educationally sound program that emphasizes participation, sportsmanship, safety, leadership, teamwork, and a competitive edge for all our athletes.

We are especially proud of our highly ranked reputation throughout Phoenix and the entire state of Arizona. This is a reputation based not only on wins and losses but the way our teams conduct themselves on and off the field. We intend to uphold this reputation for generations to come. We accomplish this by holding our athletes to a higher standard and focus on character development, bringing credit to our families, the program, and schools simultaneously. Athletic pride is essential to all members of our wider high school athletic program community.

Skyline Prep High School participates in the CAA (Charter Athletic Association) as well as National Level Competitive Sports. Class schedules are structured to allow students to practice daily as a part of the standard school day and students are supported by an Athletic Academic Dean that connects student athletes to post-graduate athletic opportunities at the university level.

College Planning

If you want to play NCAA sports at a Division I or II school, you need to register for a Certification Account with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Students who are not sure which division they want to compete in can create a Profile Page and transition to a Certification Account if they decide to play Division I or II sports. In order to practice, play and receive an athletic scholarship, students need to meet certain academic benchmarks. The NCAA needs to ensure students meet all requirements in order to practice, compete and receive athletic aid.

The NCAA Eligibility Center works with you and your high school to help you prepare for life as a student-athlete. If you have questions about your eligibility or the registration process, please visit ncaa.org or call toll free at 1-877-262-1492.

Below is a list of items we recommend you have before beginning your registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center:

  • Valid email address the student checks frequently and will have access to after high school.
  • Basic education history, including a list of all high schools or secondary schools you have attended and the dates during which you attended them.
  • Sports participation history (Certification Accounts only), including details about any teams with which you have practiced or played or events in which you participated, as well as information about any individuals that have advised you or marketed your skills.
  • Payment (Certification Accounts only). The registration fee is $90 for students from the United States and its territories, and Canada. The registration fee is $150 for students from all other countries. You must pay online by debit, credit card or e-check. Some students may be eligible for a fee waiver.
